Curiously, I seem to get about twice as many hits on my blog whenever I include the word “Swing” in the title. I wonder why that is?

Probably for a variety of reasons. From running ClientJava.com I can tell you the number of Swing developers is greater than Eclipse RCP / SWT developers. In general people probably search / scan more for Swing related topics. Also 99% of Swing related development is labeled as “Swing …. X”. On the Eclipse side of things it might be SWT, JFace, Eclipse RCP, etc. You could always start doing fake headlines with Swing in them which point to Eclipse content =).
By far, most job postings looking for Swing that specify an development platform specify Eclipse. So it’s clear most swing development is on Eclipse. But why that pulls people to Wayner’s site is kinda odd.Try putting PORN in a title, see what happens then. One of my most popular blogs back in the Oracle days was one that had Poker in the title 🙂 – Don
Oooh, I feel fished in. From my corner, I just like to see controversy in action, kind of like watching restrictor plate racing. Sooner or later someone is going to crash. Or something…
Maybe it’s the RIAA searching for swing. 😉
Try ‘free mp3’ and see what happens.
Ed,Gotta try that. Then again, it’ll most likely put me up with an angry mob on my own blog. :S
