Benjamin Pasero discusses RSSOwl 2.0

I just posted a new podcast. In this podcast, Benjamin Pasero, technical lead on the RSSOwl 1.0 project and self-described “significant contributor” to the RSSOwl 2.0 project discusses—among other things—the decision to adopt Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) as a basis for the new version.

This was recorded at the Open Source Pavilion at EclipseCon 2007.

You can find the podcast on the Eclipse Resources page, or click here for a direct link. The Eclipse Resources page contains numerous links to include podcasts in your favourite reader (just scroll down, it’s on the right side).

  1. Benjamin says:

just a quick note: for those itunes users among us, it would be nice if the podcast.rss would be updated as well🙂

  2. Benjamin says:

hm…well the podcasts.rss seems to be updated, but it isn’t listed in itunes. maybe there is something incompatible about the entry?

  3. Ben says:

iTunes looks for the enclosure-element to identify podcasts (or attachments in general). See http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss#ltenclosuregtSubelementOfLtitemgtBen

  4. Wayne says:

The podcast.rss is generated directly from our database, so it should be as up-to-date as our resources page. The problem in this case was a bit of invalid XML in the description. I’ve fixed the problem and have tested it in iTunes.
